Welcome Federal Credit Union offers members a variety of optional protection and insurance products to help protect your assets and guard your family's well being. Below is a brief description of some of these products.
- We have an insurance tracking service provided by Evans, Simpson & Associates, Inc. You may receive a letter from us asking you to provide proof of valid insurance coverage on the vehicles and/or mortgages you have financed through WFCU. To prevent insurance premiums from being added to your existing loan balance, it is important that you follow the instructions in the letter and provide the requested information. The insurance tracking customer service center can be reached at 1-800-635-5142 or visit the web site at: www.wehaveinsurance.com.
- Welcome Federal Credit Union has a joint marketing agreement with CUNA Mutual Insurance Society called MemberCONNECT to offer comprehensive and affordable insurance products to our members. Direct marketing pieces with insurance information are mailed to your home address. CUNA provides guidance to the right financial solutions based on your situation. CUNA Mutual Insurance Society is a part of the CUNA Mutual Group and has been serving credit unions and their members for over 65 years. You can voluntarily 'opt out' of these mailings by notifying your branch.

The premium is included in your monthly loan payment. MEMBERS CHOICE® Guaranteed Asset Protection
Guaranteed Asset Protection PLUS (GAP) is designed to cancel the potentially high-cost difference between a vehicle's actual cash value and your loan balance according to provisions and conditions set forth in the waiver. GAP helps provide financial security in the event that your vehicle is totaled. If your vehicle is stolen and not recovered or damaged beyond repair, GAP helps take care of the difference between the auto insurance settlement and the remaining loan balance.
GAP Plus protection also includes $1,000 toward your replacement vehicle loan (where allowed by law and when financed by WFCU).
It's easy to be covered. You can sign up for GAP when you apply for your vehicle loan. There's no underwriting, no red tape, no hassles. And for your convenience, the amount can be rolled into your monthly loan payment.
Your purchase of MEMBER'S CHOICEâ„¢ Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) is optional and will not affect your application for credit or the terms of any credit agreement required to obtain a loan. Certain eligibility requirements, conditions, and exclusions may apply. Please contact your loan representative, or refer to the Member Agreement for a full explanation of the terms of GAP. If you choose GAP, adding the product fee to your loan amount will increase the cost of GAP.
MEMBERS CHOICE® Mechanical Repair Coverage
Mechanical Repair Coverage helps you cover costly vehicle repairs that are no longer covered by the vehicle's manufacturer's warranty. Mechanical Repair Coverage (MRC) protects new and eligible used vehicles even after the manufacturer's warranty expires. The knowledge you have MRC helps to bring you peace of mind and helps minimize the impact of unexpected repair bills.
If coverage is canceled within the first 90* days you will receive a full refund or you will receive a pro-rated refund thereafter less a nominal administrative fee.
