Do I have to be a WFCU member to open a business account?
You do not need be a current WFCU member to open a business account. You just need to fit the Field of Membership requirements.
Are both checking and savings accounts available for businesses? Can I open them together?
Yes both savings and checking accounts are available for business accounts and they can be opened at the same time.
What types of business accounts does Welcome Federal Credit Union offer?
WFCU offers checking and savings accounts for businesses.
Can a Single-Member LLC open a business account?
A single member LLC cannot open a business account.
Do business accounts include Zelle?
Business Accounts are not eligible for Zelle.
Do business accounts include a debit card?
Business accounts can get debit cards.
Is my small business better suited to a personal account?
Depends on personal needs, consult your Branch
How do I open a business account?
To open a business account, make an appointment.
What documents do I need to bring to my appointment?
Documents needed are Tax ID Number, Trade or Fictitious Name filing with Secretary of State, Government issued ID , Proof of physical Address of Business.
Can I open this account online or on the mobile app?
No, you cannot open a business account online or on the mobile app.
Can I open an account with my Social Security Number instead of a business Tax ID?
Yes, you can open an account with your social security number.
Can my spouse or someone else be listed on the account with me?
They can be authorized signers but not co-owners.
What happens to a sole proprietorship account if the owner passes away?
It becomes a decedent account.

Applicants are encouraged to contact the County Register of Deeds or to seek legal counsel in order to start or register a business. Business Accounts are not eligible for Zelle at this time. Not eligible for Youth Accounts, Academic Accounts or Welcome Back Checking.
